This annual fashion show held in October, has become such a popular event that the tickets were again a sell out. Catwalk Connections provided a wide range of fashions to appeal to everyone and the evening was another huge success.

I was asked if I would like to model for the show, I can assure you that I do not have a models figure, but Angela had plenty of outfits for me to show and despite being a bit nerve wracking it was great fun.

All the clothes that were to be worn by each model were laid out on a chair in order, we were asked to try them all on for size and to remember which pieces were to be worn together etc. Once we had tried them all on Angela asked us all to make sure they were all back in order again, ready for the off, because once the show started we would have to change very quickly, and she wasn’t joking!! It was a mad rush once the show had started and we had to tear back into the changing room, quickly change and be ready all over again, but we all made it and had a lot of laughs too.

After the models had finished there was an opportunity for everyone to purchase the clothes that they’d seen and loads more, the changing room was full of ladies trying on skirts, tops, trousers, jackets, and there were plenty of accessories available too.

I think most people went home with at least one purchase; as I said, the evening was a huge success and we raised money for the group funds at the same time.
